Winners announced

Last night over 1,300 of the industry’s finest gathered at London's Grosvenor House Hotel for the biggest and most prestigious night in the construction industry’s calendar – the Construction News Awards 2014.

Our rigorous judging process comprised a panel of 60 industry experts, drawn from major clients, consultants, contractors, institutions and government. The judges were hugely impressed with the quality of the record number of entries, conducting face-to-face interviews with all finalists. View the video of our finalists judging week.

We are delighted to announce the winners

Rebecca Evans, Editor, Construction News said:

"As the market and the mood in construction continue to improve, it's essential for companies to find ways to differentiate themselves. No matter where businesses are in the supply chain - contractor, subcontractor or client - they need to convince people that they are the best people to work with. That's what the Construction News Awards are all about.

All Construction News Awards finalists are at the most progressive end of the industry, constantly striving to improve their businesses and their work.

Our unique face to face judging process ensures real rigour in the selection of the winners - these projects and companies really are the very best of a fantastic industry, setting the standard for the future. Huge congratulations to this year's winners."

Festivities for the evening began with interactive voting for the best mini-construction worker finalist photos with Cornwall Council winning a magnum of champagne for the most creative shot. See the full gallery here.

Comedian and TV presenter Dara O’Briain took to the stage to present the awards in his own unique style. Four piece band Junior Guevarra, a casino and a photo booth that provided a memorable keepsake, kept the attendees entertained until the early hours.  A silent auction also raised money for the UK construction and property industry charity for the homeless, CRASH.

Congratulations to all winners and finalists, we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Register your interest for next year’s awards on 30 June 2015 – make sure you are part of the construction industry’s biggest evening of networking and celebration.

Best wishes,

The Construction News Awards Team
